Michael has developed his style over 55 years of working and studying art. He is widely known for his land and seascapes.  Together with his wife Hope, they opened Bethany Fine Arts Gallery in 2010. His images have captured the hearts of those whose memories reside along the eastern shore of Delaware and Maryland. His environmental portraits of families and children, especially the “beach portrait” has earned him the the reputation of "The Portrait Artist".
Michael began the journey into photography in 1964. He received his BA at the renowned Brooks Institute of Photography in 1980 and received his “Master of Photography” by The Professional Photographers of America in 1990. The British Professional Photographers Association has recognized him internationally with awards for his portraits. He has garnered such awards as “Portrait of the Year”, “Best Portrait of a Dog”,  the Kodak Gallery Award (5 times), and the Fuji Masterpiece.
My goal is to help photographers learn and grow.
